Buick for 1940 featured cutting edge "Torpedo" styling. 2" to 3" lower than comparable 1939 models and no more running boards. the Century basically was the lighter special series body with the Roadmaster/limited bigger engine.

The rust free example offered here is mechanically as good as they get. Four years and 2000 miles ago this classic Buick underwent a thorough mechanical refurbishment including:

* Engine rebuild
* New clutch, pressure plate, bearing
* Brakes
* Complete suspension replaced
* Transmission rebuild
* Radiator cleaned/engine block bored out
* Fuel pump rebuilt with E15 proof parts
* Carb rebuilt
